Tauferner Wins Chancellor’s Award at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine Senior Awards Banquet

Dustin Tauferner, DO, won $1,000 and a plaque as this yearâ??s recipient of the Chancellorâ??s Award at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicineâ??s senior awards banquet.

The Chancellor’s Award is presented to the graduating senior who has demonstrated high academic achievement, is active in areas of leadership or representation of the osteopathic profession during undergraduate medical training, and understands the role of the osteopathic profession in shaping future directions of health care in the United States.

Dr. Tauferner, a native of Portland, earned a Master of Science degree in construction management from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from TCOM. He will complete his residency in emergency medicine at Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood.

The banquet was held May 19 at the Fort Worth Club.
