Landing Page Template Layout Options
The Landing Page Template for web pages removes the standard site-wide header and navigation, but still includes the footer found on all pages. Instead of the dark, navy blue bar with horizontal navigation the header only includes navigation for the top-level sections of the website, such as Admissions, Academics, Research, Student Life, and Patient Care.
When editing a page that uses the Landing Page template, the top, default content management area is presented and content could be saved there, but it will not be presented to users when viewing the published page. Instead, the Landing Page template only presents the panels you select and configure. There are a few more panels that are only available with the Landing Page template and are not included with the Default Page template.
The Landing Page Template includes some panels that will display content the full width of the browser window on all screen sizes. However, most panels still utilize a primary content area that is 1170px wide.
When creating your page, always consider what it will look like on phone size, medium, and wide format screens.
