Over the last two decades, patient safety improvement efforts in healthcare have focused on the hospital setting. There is growing evidence that illustrates patient harm often begins in medical office settings resulting in preventable harm.

This module will address the characteristics of medications that are high-risk and how to mitigate those risks for older adult patients. 1 CE

Many deaths and events of serious harm happening in U.S. healthcare are preventable. These poor health outcomes happen for a number of reasons. They can also include culture, language, education, and low health literacy.
