Interprofessional Education (IPE) at the UNT Health Science Center is divided into two types. Centralized IPE (C-IPE) and DeCentralized IPE (D-IPE). These two types of interprofessional education exist under the “umbrella” of IPE. Click on the titles below to learn more about the two types of IPE.
Interprofessional education designed, facilitated, and controlled by the University of North Texas Health Science Center Department of Interprofessional Education and Practice
When faculty from varying colleges or schools come together to design, facilitate, and control IPE that is fully embedded into a class or rotation.
Faculty, placed in interprofessional teams, have the opportunity to learn and apply competencies for interprofessional practice education. Interprofessional Faculty Development is a collaboration with the Center for Innovative Learning.
The program utilizes blended-learning, where a portion of the content is provided in online modules and is then followed up with in-person, active learning.
