Senior Fellow Biostatistics, Associate Professor School of Public Health
I received a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Illinois, Chicago. I joined the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at UNT Health Science Center as an Assistant Professor in 2008 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014.
I teach both introductory and higher level graduate courses to students in the UNTHSC School of Public Health, including Principles of Biostatistics, Categorical Data Analysis and Longitudinal Data Analysis. Additionally, I have also taught introductory biostatistics courses for the UNTHSC Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. I conduct statistical methodological research on topics including environmental monitoring, sample size determination and hypothesis testing. In addition, I collaborate extensively on interdisciplinary projects with researchers within and outside UNT Health Science Center, which has led to publications in diverse disciplines including osteopathic manipulation, psychology and pediatrics. I am the Director of Biostatistics for the Osteopathic Research Center at UNT Health Science Center and serve as a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Patient Safety.
