Dena Silva facilitates the educational design of UNTHSC’s continuous professional development program and the learning experiences for its participants. Dena uses complex critical thinking skills to identify methodologies to best meet the needs of those working with INCEDO. She brings innovative approaches to the team and welcomes challenges as opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. She holds a MS in Learning Technologies, and specializes bridging the technology gap in education through online learning activities, LMS implementation and oversight, as well as website content and infrastructure. As a member of the Society for Academic CME (SACME), Dena sits on the Communications Committee and is involved in the ongoing management of its website. Dena is also a certified yoga instructor and serves on the board for a Fort Worth non-profit, Yogi Squad, that shares yoga and mindfulness to children.
Suzy Gardner brings years of experience in customer relations and project management to the INCEDO team. As program manager at JPS Health Network, she works closely with department chairs and education liaisons to develop Interprofessional programming that closes the practice gaps and improves patient care across the hospital system. Suzy is also the chair and co-founder for a local non-profit organization, DFW Birthday Brigade, providing birthday parties for local unsheltered youth.
Stephen McBroom designs online education for medical professionals. Stephen works with clients to develop educational content into a graphical story. He designs eLearning through rapid, iterative development and has a passion making education timely, relevant and engaging to participants through proper utilization of technology, He is a native Texan and has worked for UNTHSC in various departments creating media and educational content. He received his BA in Ad Design from Oklahoma Christian University and has vast experience in video production.
Donnell brings a wide range of experience in real estate, accounting, faculty development and graphic design to her role as an instructional designer. Exposure to all of these various worlds feeds her ability to design with the learner in mind, developing content and instruction that expands their knowledge, competency and/or skills. Donnell has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and is pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Design.
Jennifer Parker manages INCEDO’s financial and accounting support, as well as client and customer service. Her career began behind the counter in retail business before moving to the back office functions. She has held various accounting positions with multiple corporations such as RadioShack, Glidepath Inc. and Dean Foods. Jennifer has a wealth of experience in customer service, account reconciliation, expense reimbursements as well as purchasing and accounts.
Sujita brings a public health background to the team and uses her needs assessment, program planning, implementation, and evaluation skills to execute and evaluate continuing education activities. As a program manager, she works in collaboration with different internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal patient and community health outcomes. She is a Certified Public Health Professional and holds a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health and a Bachelor's in Pharmacy. Sujita adds diversity, enthusiasm, and positivity to the team. She is originally from Nepal and loves cooking, traveling, and adventurous activities.
Andy Pottkotter helps educators educate by upholding the principle that learning experiences are aesthetic experiences first and intellectual subordinately. He makes learning experiences meaningful to learners through design, integrating information and matter, attribute and affordance, art and science into educative spatiotemporal artifacts. He has a Master of Fine Arts degree in Design Research from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Baylor University. He also makes a great omelet.
Brenda Wilson brings over two decades of experience in medical faculty development to the INCEDO team and uses her strong educational design, program development, and project management skills to develop, accredit, promote and implement continuing education programs across the health professions’ spectrum. Brenda has been an active member of the International Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, serving as chair for the Faculty Development Collaborative and a peer-reviewed presenter at conferences. She holds a Master of Science in Learning Technologies and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management.
Kelly Zarwell has a long history of working with healthcare professionals. Initially focused in oncology while at the American Cancer Society, Kelly transitioned to professional and continuing education where she now works with INCEDO’s stakeholders and clients on the development and implementation of large scale inter-professional education programs, including live conferences, PI-CME, and quality improvement initiatives. Her expertise lies within nursing education and competencies and works closely with nurse educators.
