BioSkills of North Texas is a state-of-the-art facility that promotes clinical skills training and biomedical/clinical research at the Health Science Center at Fort Worth. In this facility, bioskills labs, cadaver labs or wet labs can be hosted. Training has been provided for countless individuals and groups both local and regional during the past several decades.

The facility host clinicians, residents, medical/health professionals, nurse anesthetists, EMTs and other health care providers from North Texas and the U.S. It can accommodate any type of clinical training event for basic or complex surgical and medical techniques.

With the ability to accommodate up to 100 individuals at 12 separate workstations equipped with surgical lamps, monitors and cameras, BioSkills of North Texas provides an ideal setting for guided training in clinical procedures. These range from introductory suture clinics for students to intricate surgical procedures for practicing physicians. The Anatomy Lab has the ability to hold more than 300 attendees.

CAS faculty and graduate students in the Structural Anatomy Ph.D. Program at HSC use the BioSkills of North Texas laboratory to conduct innovative anatomy-based research.The well-equipped BioSkills of North Texas supports a wide spectrum of research in the anatomical sciences, including investigations of human variation, biomechanics, neuroscience, applied anatomy (development of clinical protocols and devices) and anatomy-focused educational pedagogy, as well as surgical simulation.
