Steven Martinez brings his extensive expertise to his role as the Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter for The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Leading the Talent Acquisition function, he collaborates across the HSC campus and UNT System to attract and select top-tier candidates who align with the academic excellence and institutional mission of HSC and UNT System.

With over a decade of experience in Talent Acquisition Recruiting and HR Operations, Steven is renowned for his strategic prowess in workforce management, client relationship cultivation, candidate sourcing and engagement, as well as employer branding and marketing. His comprehensive skill set spans talent sourcing, Human resources management, performance analytics, and process enhancement, enabling him to develop tailored strategies that meet the unique needs of his clients.

As a recognized leader in recruiting, Steven excels in maximizing efficiency, fortifying client relationships, and optimizing operations to achieve peak performance. His proficiency in HR operations and recruiting enables him to identify opportunities for improvement and foster seamless collaboration between clients and suppliers, driving towards organizational objectives. Steven’s hands-on approach, coupled with his adept data analysis and process enhancement skills, results in streamlined workflows, cost efficiencies, and heightened productivity.

Before joining HSC, Steven served as the Corporate Leadership Recruiter at Core-Mark International and held prior HR and Talent Acquisition Recruiter positions at Central Freight Logistics and Tarrant County College District. A Marine Corps Veteran, Steven served in Afghanistan as a Communication Chief and Telecommunication instructor, training international Troops in a combat zone.

Steven Martinez earned his Bachelor of Science in History Degree from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas.
