Welcome to the Department of Integrative Physiology and Anatomy of the University of North Texas Health Science Center! We invite you to explore our site and learn more about the exciting research being done in the Department. The Department is home to researchers with a wide variety of interests and approaches. The Department is truly integrative as all faculty are engaged in interdisciplinary studies that span molecular, cellular, systems and behavioral sciences, with strong traditions of excellence in the study of cardiovascular, renal and neural-humoral control systems. The research activities of many of our faculty and graduate students involve studies of normal physiology such as exercise and travel to altitude as well as pathophysiological states such as heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, obesity and sleep apnea.
