There are no age restrictions on many Foundation scholarships, and there are no age restrictions on federal student aid eligibility. Federal financial aid is not age-restricted, so a student over the age of 30 may be eligible to receive funds from the government.

I completed the General Application and I do not have Import Information.

UNTHSC information is imported several times per week. If this is your first time filling out an application, we encourage you to review your application for imported information the next business day.

You cannot make updates to the imported HSC information directly on your application. You must contact the Registrar and Student Records Office at https://www.unthsc.edu/registrar/contact-us/ if you have concerns about your information.

Once you sign in, please click the reference tab to view the status of your recommendation/reference request. You have the option to resend the request for a reference.

Yes, but it must be before the scholarship deadline. Sign into your application, click on the “my applications” tab, select the application you want to update then save and submit.

Students are only able to review the scholarships for which they supplied additional information for and submitted an application. Students may see scholarships that do not require additional action by clicking the “ALL” tab to review criteria.

Some scholarships awarded through this competitive application process require the recipient to show financial need as determined by the annual Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All newly admitted and continuing UNTHSC students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA, regardless of family income. There is no application fee, and the eligibility information received from the application will assist with budgeting for educational related expenses.

Complete the FAFSA online at fafsa.gov.

For all students that UNTHSC has not received a FAFSA, the EFC will have the default value of 99999. Once HSC has received the appropriate FAFSA information, the EFC will be updated automatically.

This information will be populated automatically with your Fall and Spring enrollment once you have registered.

You can log into the system after the deadline date and check the status of your application. If you are offered a scholarship, you will receive an email notifying you of your award 3-4 weeks after the deadline date.

Scholarship awards will be placed on your UNTHSC account at least two weeks prior to the first day of class. If your account is paid in full, you will receive a refund after the census date of the program you are enrolled in or after the 12th day of classes for the semester you are enrolled in when the Financial Aid Office processes refunds.

If you are offered a scholarship, you will receive an email offer with instructions on how to accept the award. Also, you may sign into the scholarship system at any time to view the status of your applications.
