I am pleased to announce that Richard McKee has accepted the permanent Police Chief position. A search was conducted for the position, which included several candidates.
Richard has served as HSC’s Interim Chief and Captain.
Richard came to HSC in January 2022 as Captain of the Police Department. Prior to HSC, he was the Chief of Police at Midland College for the past 10 years.
Richard has 30 years’ law enforcement and has been in higher education since 2008. Richard has a Master’s degree from the University of Texas Permian Basin as well as a TCOLE Master Peace officer certification. His wife is a Nurse Practitioner here at HSC.
