UNT DENTON – BioDiscovery Institute Distinguished Lecturer Series-Spring 2022 – Dr. Daniel Voytas

UNT Denton’s BioDiscovery Institute Distinguished Lecturer Series-Spring 2022 – National Academy of Sciences member Dr. Daniel Voytas, a McKnight Presidential Endowed Professor in the Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Development, and the Director of the Center for Precision Plant Genomics, at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Voytas will deliver his BDI Distinguished Lecture “Overcoming Bottlenecks in Plant Gene Editing” on Thursday, Feb 17, at 3:30 pm in the Eagle Student Services Center lecture theater, ESSC 255. A moderated Q & A session will follow. Dr. Voytas will give a second talk “Gene Editing Ushers in a New Era in Plant Agriculture” on Friday, Feb 18 at 3:00, in the Department of Biological Sciences’ weekly BioFrontiers seminar series, which, for this special event, will also be in ESSC 255. Both lectures are open to the public and both will be accessible through the Zoom link
