Today is the last day to buy an advance ticket for tomorrow’s Eighth Annual Chili Cook-Off for scholarships and be entered into a drawing for a $25 Target gift card. The event, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. tomorrow in the EAD Atrium, features the opportunity to vote for your favorite chili, sample Rodeo Goat restaurant’s famous homemade red and enter the popular jalapeno-eating contest. Tickets also will be sold at the door.
- It’s $5 for a meal ticket. Pre-order your ticket and pay by credit card today to be entered into the gift card drawing, or pay at the door tomorrow. Meal tickets include six sample cups and a chance to vote for the People’s Choice Award, or one bowl of chili, plus all the fixings. In addition to the contestant entries, Rodeo Goat restaurant has donated a batch of its homemade chili. Be sure and bring a UNTHSC or other photo ID.
- Enter the pepper-eating contest for $3 – just register at the door.
The winning chili chef gets a free stay and restaurant gift certificate at the WinStar World Casino and Resort.
