TCOM students, and all others interested in pursuing medical residency: Please plan to attend the Annual Internship & Residency Fair being held TODAY from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in MET 109-111. The IR Fair is an excellent opportunity for TCOM students in ALL class years to meet and greet residency program representatives from all over the country (although the majority are from the surrounding region), representing a variety of specialty areas. At the very least, this event provides a “low risk” environment in which to meet program directors, attending physicians, current residents, and other program representatives—including TCOM alumni—to learn more about what residency entails, what the respective programs are looking for in their candidates, and how you can best prepare your application for their program when the time comes. There is no need to RSVP to attend the IR Fair itself. Please come as you are, but be prepared to make a positive and professional first impression!
