In this 60-minute session, the presenter will describe the relationship between assessment of learning and evaluation and differentiate the various types of assessments of learning; Attendees will be able to identify and align assessment methods to different learning domains, explain how student progress is defined and measured over time, recognize the types of analyses used to extract meaning from learning assessments, and be able to understand and discuss the student and educator’s roles in quality improvement.

Participants will learn to:

• Identify and align assessment methods to different learning domains
• Explain how student progress is defined and measured over time
• Recognize the types of analyses used to extract meaning from assessments
