Support child refugees of Ukraine – “Because We Care” pins fundraiser

Almost half of the 3.5 million Ukrainian refugees are children. These refugee children are not guaranteed food, water, protection, or healthcare. Additionally, children that travel alone are at risk of human trafficking, especially when they are crossing country borders. Children are the least responsible for war in Ukraine, but they suffer most from its consequences.

Because we care, multiple student organizations on campus have teamed up to raise support for Child Ukrainian Refugees!

“Because we care” Pins (picture on the preorder form) will be available for purchase in the MET lobby the week of April 4th. Donations for the pins can be sent to the Pediatric club treasurer, Venmo= Kyle Katigbak @kitkatkatigbak. Any donations received will be sent directly to the United Nations Children’s’ Fund (UNICEF). Please help us demonstrate how much UNTHSC cares!

I have also included the link to donate directly to the UNICEF website. Come show your donation confirmation at the MET lobby table to receive a free pin! Your 100% tax-deductible donation will help UNICEF ensure that Ukraine’s children have access to safe water, nutrition, health care, education and protection.

Finally, show your support the week of April 11th by wearing your pin!
