The application deadline for the Osteopathic Research Center’s Summer Program in Clinical Research is January 8, 2024. The program is open to first-year TCOM students (Class of 2027), and will run from June 10 through July 2, 2024.
Program activities involve: (1) Didactic sessions on clinical research design; (2) Journal club sessions to critically evaluate research studies published in major medical journals; and (3) Instruction in use of the IBM SPSS Statistics Software with public-use data. Successful program completers will receive a Certificate and will be eligible to compete for Research Team positions on subsequent projects that aim to publish full-length articles during Fall 2024 or Spring 2025.
There are no tuition costs or other fees for the program. Institutional resources are also provided at no cost, including readings in Canvas, Health Sciences Library materials, and the IBM SPSS Statistics Software. Students are responsible for acquiring the required textbook.
