SUMMER PROGRAM IN CLINICAL RESEARCH IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS (TCOM CLASS OF 2025)

The Osteopathic Research Center is now accepting applications for its Summer Program in Clinical Research for first-year TCOM students (Class of 2025). The program will run from June 6 through June 24, 2022 and will be delivered remotely via Zoom so that students may reside elsewhere during the summer.

The Application Form must be submitted by January 10, 2022.

Program activities involve:
• Didactic sessions on clinical research design and implementation of patient-centered studies
• Journal club sessions to critically evaluate research studies published in major medical journals
• Utilization of data from the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS)
• Instruction in use of the IBM SPSS Statistics Software to analyze NAMCS data
• Completion of a group research project to be presented at the end of the Summer Program

There are no tuition costs or other fees for the program. Institutional resources are also provided at no cost, including readings in Canvas, Health Sciences Library materials, and the IBM SPSS Statistics Software. Students are responsible for acquiring the required or optional textbooks.
