Students, we want to hear from you! NCHA Survey rolling out 11/1!

Dear UNTHSC Students,

On November 1st, all University of North Texas Health Science Center students will be invited to participate in the National College Health Assessment (NCHA) sponsored and distributed by the American College Health Association (ACHA). This survey is designed to assess student health behaviors in order to provide meaningful services and programming for UNTHSC students.

The NCHA-Web is completed online via the Internet and will take 20-30 minutes. Your participation is critical in shaping services and programming at UNTHSC, and we are excited to announce that 350 students who complete the survey will be randomly selected to receive a $10 Amazon gift card!

All UNTHSC students will receive an email on November 1st from ncha-web@acha.org, with the Office of Student Affairs as the sender. If it appears that you did not receive the email, please check your Clutter folder. The email will say “Please complete the UNTHSC NCHA Survey!” in the subject line. The survey will close on November 15th.

We recognize and respect that the NCHA survey covers sensitive content. There may be some personal discomfort with the content of certain questions. For example, there are questions regarding illegal substance use, interpersonal violence, and sexual behavior. If you’d like to talk with someone about issues addressed in the survey, you may contact the UNTHSC Care Team at 817-735-2740 or CareTeam@unthsc.edu.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Dr. Emily Mire, Director of Wellness Services at Emily.Mire@unthsc.edu or 817-735-5172 if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for being a part of the solution. We look forward to utilizing this information in a way that allows us to meet the needs of our students in the most effective way possible.

Be well,
The Office of Wellness Services
