In the recognition of National Stop the Bleed (STB) Month, Drs. Jeffrey Mott and Vincent Antunes with the HSC PA Program faculty will be conducting two STB training sessions. Each session will include a presentation followed by practical skill stations. The skill stations will include training/practice on all the equipment included in the Life Station medical equipment sets mounted on the walls throughout HSC campus. Each session will last approx 1.5 – 2 hours depending on the time spent on skill stations and the number of attendees. Upon completion, attendees will receive a certificate of completion from the American College of Surgeons.
The two Stop the Bleed training sessions are scheduled for:
*Wednesday May 11, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 starting in EAD-524 & finishing in EAD-532
*Monday May 16, 2022 from 12:00-2:00 starting in EAD-524 & finishing in EAD-532
Each session will be limited to a maximum of 20 attendees. There will NOT be any lunch provided, but please feel free to bring a lunch and eat during the lecture portion of the training session.
