As mentioned in HSC’s June Town Hall, the new HSC Staff Senate will start this coming fiscal year.
The nomination process of the HSC Staff Senate election is now open and will close at noon on Friday, Aug. 16. Nominations of peers or self-nominations are allowed.
Staff senators will advocate for staff interests and will be chosen through an open nomination and election process. Senators must be benefits-eligible employees who have worked at HSC for at least a year. Each nominee’s immediate supervisor must give approval before the nominee can be part of the election. Supervisors will receive approval emails this week. If supervisor approval is given, nominees will become candidates in the HSC Staff Senate election unless they choose to opt-out. Please note that all steps in the nomination process, including opt-out messages, should be received by noon on Friday.
