Samaritan House serves three meals a day to their residents living with HIV/Aids. Their kitchen crew cooks breakfast and lunch daily. However, they rely on volunteers to bring in dinner. Dinner is served around 5:30pm each night. They currently have two more dates in March that need to be filled:
· Sunday, March 24th
· Saturday, March 30th
Would your department or student organization be willing and able to provide a meal for their residents on any of these evenings? They usually have an average of 40 residents that eat dinner, 55 enrolled. Volunteers can bring food that is prepared or they can prepare the meal in our commercial kitchen. Meals can be anything from pizza and bread sticks to spaghetti and salad, tacos… you name it! Silverware and drinks will be provided, but you are asked to bring paper plate with you. The volunteers can either clean up and leave after dinner or they can bring in an activity to enjoy with the residents.
If you’d like to sponsor a meal, please contact Becky Rasbeary at brasbeary@samaritanhouse.org or 817-509-5391.
