SPH Solutions Series – Medical record based vs. non-medical record based community pharmacy provided medication therapy management

Patrick Clay, PharmD, is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy at the University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy. For the past 20 years his work has focused on developing and delivering innovations to improve the lives of persons living with HIV. Currently, his responsibilities include the traditional faculty roles: research, teaching and service. He is conducting investigational antiretroviral studies at an HIV specialty clinic in Dallas, recently completed a nationwide HIV Medication Therapy Management CDC-funded demonstration project and has initiated a randomized, prospective clinical trial in persons with HIV focusing on diabetes and hypertension outcomes.
