Small Animal Imaging Facility pilot grants

The Small Animal Imaging Facility is offering pilot grant awards to facilitate the collection of preliminary imaging data: CT, PET, SPECT, and MRI images. The SAIF pilot grants program is an internal funding mechanism designed to: (1) provide imaging access to faculty whose project is not yet externally funded, (2) support the addition of imaging data for current projects, and (3) encourage use of SAIF resources and stimulate research collaborations. Faculty who receive support through this program are expected to collect preliminary data to submit a research proposal for extramural funding. Faculty can submit only one application per funding cycle.

Award Information:
• Grant awards will range between $2,000 – $5,000. Award amounts are contingent on the number of applications received this cycle.
• Duration of the funding will be through the end of August 2023 (no carryovers are permitted).

Other Terms and Conditions
• Pilot funds will not be awarded until all necessary compliance related approvals and training are acquired, such as IACUC or IBC.
