Sexual Assault Support Services

The safety and security of all students is of paramount concern to the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Through the teamwork of the university and campus community, UNTHSC consistently strives to be among the safest college campuses in Texas. It is the policy of UNTHSC to provide an environment conducive to an educational mission; thus, any conduct that is prohibited by state, federal, or local law is subject to discipline under the provisions of policies stated in the Student Code of Conduct & Discipline and other institutional general policies.

The Violence Against Women Act, enacted in March 2013, requires institutions of higher education to educate students on the prevention of rape, acquaintance rape, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Primary prevention, awareness programs, reporting procedures, and a video regarding sexual assault, misconduct and related offenses can be found at https://www.unthsc.edu/care-and-civility/sexual-assault-support/.
