In recognition of Infant Mortality Awareness Month in September, UNTHSC Healthy Start is collaborating with Pediatrics Club, Texas Obstetrics and Gynecology Association of Students (TOGAS), and Public Health Student Government Association (PHSGA) to host a Lunch & Learn Educational Series to raise awareness on improving both maternal and infant health outcomes. Healthy Start’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of women, mothers, fathers and infants so that every child in the community has the opportunity to grow and thrive.
Our presenters will address current topics including maternal depression, social determinants of health, preeclampsia and other factors contributing to infant mortality in the United States and around the world. Everyone is welcome to attend any and all events!
