Second Annual RAM event

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

Over 530 lives were touched at the Remote Area Medical (RAM) pop-up clinic this past weekend. There are no words to possibly thank each of you enough for giving your time, talents and energy to this initiative.

Because of your efforts, adults and children not only received free medical, vision and dental care, but also left with toys, oral hygiene products, food and community referrals for ongoing health care. From the homeless mother concerned about her health, to the gentleman laid off from work needing a tooth repaired, we heard nothing but words of profound appreciation, joy and relief.

To our incredible students, many of whom had tests to study for but instead chose to serve: You are truly the embodiment of the HSC value of serving others first. We watched the meaningful encounters you had that brought a sense of peace to many of those you served.

To our staff and faculty: Your dedication to our students and community resulted in lives changed. You worked tirelessly to setup on Thursday and Friday, registered clients, assisted with the take down on Sunday and served as needed. The team effort was extraordinary! The positivity and collaboration were unmatched.

To our planning team: Outstanding work! You worked behind the scenes throughout the year to ensure that everything fell into place. From signup, to transportation, to meals, you captured every detail to make this possible.

Thank you again for your contribution during this season of giving.

Sincerely,

Dr. Sylvia Trent-Adams
