Scholarship fund set up in Dr. Eisenberg’s name

Art Eisenberg, PhD, who prior to retirement was Professor of Molecular and Medical Genetics and served as Co-Director of Center for Human identification here, passed away on Nov. 8.

Upon his retirement in 2017, UNT Health Science Center and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences established an endowed scholarship honoring the accomplishments and contributions of Dr. Eisenberg. The Arthur J. Eisenberg Scholarship is awarded each year to an incoming student in the Forensic Genetics program. The Eisenberg Family encourages support of this scholarship in lieu of flowers.

Donations may be made by check payable to UNTHSC Foundation with “Eisenberg Scholarship” noted in the memo. The mailing address is UNTHSC Foundation, 3500 Camp Bowie Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76107.

To donate online, go to https://www.unthsc.edu/outreach/giving/, click on Make a Gift, choose Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences from the drop-down menu and indicate Eisenberg Scholarship under the Tribute Gift section. We appreciate your support of UNT Health Science Center, GSBS student scholarships and, most especially, your tribute to our friend and colleague, Dr. Eisenberg.
