Role of Rural Libraries in Promoting Digital Health Literacy – free webinar Wed Mar 8 at 10am (sponsored by NNLM Region 3)

The Network of the National Library of Medicine Region 3, housed at the Gibson D. Lewis Library, would like to invite you to join us for the next session of our monthly webinar series, Health Bytes with Region 3.

This monthly 1 hour series focuses on topics of interest to clinicians, researchers, faculty and information professionals.

People in rural areas face many health challenges and are often far distances from quality healthcare. Dianne Connery, Director at Pottsboro Library, will share how a rural library partnered with healthcare providers to launch a telehealth program, utilize a Community Health Worker, lead disaster response efforts, and provide digital health literacy training.
