As the IT Helpdesk continues to work on the Single Device Consolidation project (transitioning Faculty and Staff members using several computers at a time down to one), we would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the official computer order guidelines.
For technology hardware requests please continue to use the Insite page (link above) to place the orders. In the Computer Equipment Standards and Procurement section, you will see our Single Device project details, the standard models and specs to order, and a link to our ticketing system to initiate the quote process.
If you are unable to process an order or still have unanswered questions about the process, you can always email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you don’t receive a timely response from the previously mentioned process, please escalate the request to Patrick.Vert@unthsc.edu and CC Raul.Martinez@unthsc.edu
In the event you have a work stoppage or urgent need for a laptop, please come to the Helpdesk and inquire about our in-house inventory. We have a limited number of loaner computers for these scenarios (short-term or long-term loans). Additionally, the Library and CETS department also have a limited number of loaner laptops (both in the Gibson D. Lewis Library).
