The HSC Health Priority Care clinic will now be available for primary care services!
What will this change?
Trisha Smith, MD, can now be listed as your primary care provider (PCP) with your insurance carrier and will provide a full scope of primary care services. Previously, priority care was only available for minor illnesses and injuries. Primary care services will include preventative care, chronic care management, annual wellness visits, and more.
You are not required to change your PCP to take advantage of priority care! You can still access priority care for minor illnesses and injuries and same-day or next-day appointments as needed.
As always, priority care will have exclusive access for HSC employees and their dependents. This clinic is completely separate from the learning environment, and no student learners are integrated into priority care to maintain faculty and staff privacy.
Translation services are available, and early hours, from 7 AM – 4 PM, are available on Mondays and Thursdays. The priority care clinic is conveniently located in the Interdisciplinary Research & Education Building (IREB) on the first floor. To make an appointment, call 817-735-2273.
