Scientific Insights to Clinical Impact: A Pathway to Better Care

Dr. Nedungadi oversees the strategy and management of the AHA/ACC Cardiovascular Guidelines, Performance Measures and the AHA/ASA Stroke Guidelines and Performance Measures. He leads efforts in the AHA to optimize the delivery of clinical guideline products to drive increased adoption of clinical guidelines. Dr. Nedungadi is also a Scientific Advisor for the AHA with specific leadership over basic science and clinical lipidology.

He holds a Ph.D. degree in pharmacology with specialization in neuroscience from University of Louisiana, Monroe, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from India.  He previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the UT Southwestern Medical Center and at UNT Health Science Center in the Department of Integrative Physiology and then as a research/teaching faculty in UNTHSC and has published numerous peer reviewed publications in high impact journals.
