This is an advertisement seeking volunteers to participate in a research study entitled: “Potential Therapeutic Benefits of Remote Ischemic Preconditioning vs. Occlusive Exercise- An
Acute Study”
The University of North Texas Health Science Center is recruiting up to 30 subjects (male and female) to take part in a study that will assess the hemodynamic and cerebrovascular responses to acute bouts of vascular occlusion exercise,traditional exercise, and remote ischemic preconditioning.
You must be:
? Generally healthy,
? Currently a non-tobacco/nicotine user (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, chewing tobacco, nicotine patch/gum)
? Aged between 21-45 years
Study Requirements:
? Visit our laboratory in the Department of Integrative Physiology & Anatomy at UNTHSC
on 7 separate days, each visiting lasting 2-3 hours
? Participation in this study is voluntary, and if you are a student or employee of UNTHSC your participation (or non-participation) in this study will in no way affect your academic standing or employment.
? Subjects will be compensated for their time and effort.
