The Brian Molles Memorial Scholarship was established this year to honor and remember Dr. Brian Molles who was stolen from us in a brutal shooting outside his home. Brian came to UNTHSC to mentor students while helping solve problems for real people. As a member of the Laboratory of Cellular NeuroImmunology, he worked to develop therapies for dementia during aging, HIV and drug abuse. As a scientist and father of three, Brian touched many lives and truly transformed them. In this context, UNTHSC is honored to assist the family of Dr. Brian Molles to create a Memorial Scholarship. When endowed the scholarship will support the graduate education of students for years to come and will serve as a lasting legacy of his life and work.
