Parking permit renewal status

Team,

We wanted to follow up on the earlier communication about the parking renewal system failure that occurred [on Aug. 14]. The Operations Division takes full responsibility and is working with the parking service vendor to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. About 300 credit card transactions took place [on Aug. 14], and these transactions will be cancelled. All payroll deduction requests will be cancelled as well.

We discovered that those waiting to purchase permits in the online permit lobby were not being processed in a first-come, first-serve order. We are committed to our values and want this to be a fair and equitable process, so we will restart the process after the system is repaired.

If you applied for a parking permit Aug. 14, you will need to re-apply when the permit portal is restored.

We will extensively test the system in collaboration with the vendor to ensure processing occurs equitably before relaunching. We will provide the campus community with as much advance notice as possible. In return, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to resolve these issues.
