Dr. Nedungadi oversees the strategy and management of the AHA/ACC Joint Cardiovascular Guidelines, Performance Measures and Data Standards and the AHA/ASA Stroke Guidelines and Performance Measures. He leads efforts to optimize the delivery of clinical guideline derivative products to drive increased adoption of clinical guidelines. Dr. Nedungadi is also a Scientific Advisor for the AHA with specific leadership over basic science and clinical lipidology.
He holds a Ph.D. in pharmacology with specialization in neuroscience from University of Louisiana, Monroe, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from India. He previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the UT Southwestern Medical Center and at HSC in the Department of Integrative Physiology and as a research/teaching faculty. He has published numerous peer reviewed publications in high impact journals.
