OUT for Health 2022 – call for proposals

CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Out for Health is a medical conference founded and organized by students across all Texas medical schools in order to address the needs of the LGBTQIA+ population. Our mission is to create spaces for students, faculty, and community members to come together and discuss the challenges that LGBTQIA+ patients face. Out for Health unites students and health professionals across disciplines to learn how to provide more inclusive health care. This year’s conference will be hosted by TCU School of Medicine and held on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

We are seeking interactive presentation sessions with an emphasis on the patient story, and how to best meet the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community in the health care setting. These presentations can range from a lecture, an interactive workshop, or even a short film or art piece. Our aim is not only to learn, but to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and provide a safe space for free expression and discussion of queerness. These sessions will be approximately 50 minutes long, with an estimated attendance ranging from 20-50 people per room.
