Dr. Reza Dana is a renowned expert in corneal disorders and ocular inflammation. He graduated from Johns Hopkins and Harvard Universities and currently holds the Claes Dohlman Chair in Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Dana serves as the Director of the Cornea Service at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and is a Senior Scientist at the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear, where he leads the Laboratory of Corneal Immunology, Transplantation, and Regeneration. He is also a member of the Harvard Medical School Graduate Program in Immunology and directs the Harvard-Vision Clinical Scientist Development Program. Dr. Dana has mentored over 95 clinical fellows and 140 postdoctoral fellows and students, with many now holding academic positions in ophthalmology and vision research. He has received the Harvard Medical School A. Clifford Barger Excellence in Mentoring Award. His clinical interests include high-risk transplantation, stem cells, graft-versus-host disease, immune-mediated corneal disorders, infection, and autoimmunity.
