Nominations for the Donna Jones Moritsugu Memorial Award are being accepted

Established in 1993 this award is in memory of Donna Jones Moritsugu, wife of Dr. Kenneth P. Moritsugu, Former Deputy Surgeon General of the United States, who was killed in an automobile accident.

The award honors and recognizes the spouse/partners of graduating osteopathic medical students who best exemplify the role of any professional’s partner by providing immeasurable support and who are often content to bask in the reflected light of their partner, for their unwavering dedication and support.

Eligibility: The partner of any graduating fourth-year osteopathic medical student is selected by an internal committee and shall exemplify the role of a professional’s partner by providing immeasurable support of his or her partner, family, and the osteopathic profession, while being an individual in their own right.

Nomination Process: Please submit a statement (no more than one typewritten page) that testifies how the person you are nominating exemplifies the characteristics stated above. The nomination must be received by 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2020. Please submit nominations to rynn.ziller@unthsc.edu.
