Nominations are now open for the 2022 University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth President’s Alumni Award for Distinguished Service. This award was created in 2017 to honor a University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth graduate who has distinguished herself or himself through outstanding personal and professional achievements in their field. The recipient will demonstrate the University’s core values of Serving Others First, Integrity, Respect, Collaboration and Being Visionary as well as living and embracing the HSC vision of One University, built on values, defining and producing the providers* of the future. *Providers of research, teaching and health care delivery and public health delivery, working in interprofessional teams drawn from all disciplines.
Criteria:
• Demonstrated commitment to alumnus’ profession, HSC Alumni Association, HSC mission, vision, purpose and values.
• Identifiable community service effort that demonstrates excellence, health improvement and/or servant leadership.
• Recognized by the community as being a positive personal and/or professional role model for others.
Nominations can be submitted via the form online here. If you would like a paper copy of the form, please email alumni@unthsc.edu. The deadline to submit a nomination is January 10th, 2022 at 11:59pm. All nominations will be vetted by the selection committee and submitted to the HSC President for final review and award. The selected recipient will be notified in March and be awarded at the 2022 Commencement ceremony.
Any alumnus, faculty, staff, student or community members may complete an application. Applicants may self-nominate.
