This workshop will explore the aspects of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and its diagnosis and treatment. Specifically, discussions will include how to use personalized and precision-based approaches in sleep medicine therapies and how identifying subtypes and characteristics of OSA can help develop individualized treatment strategies. Participants will also hear about the latest advancements and future directions of the diagnosis and management of OSA.

Workshop Goals and Objectives:

  • Delineate the heterogeneity of OSA diagnosis, treatment, and implementation efforts.
  • Facilitate personalized and precision-based approaches in sleep medicine.
  • Determine how the identification of OSA endotypes and phenotypes can be utilized for a more tailored treatment approach across the lifespan and throughout populations that are disproportionately impacted by OSA.
