Join the Title IX Compliance Office for National Stalking Awareness Month during January. The HSC Title IX Policy 7.106 (Section 2.1.V) defines Stalking to be “a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to fear for his or her safety or the safety of others, or suffer substantial emotional distress”.
It is estimated that 6 to 7.5 million people are stalked in a one-year period in the United States. During the month of January, Title IX Compliance Office will offer a variety of activities and useful resources that promotes safety, support, and awareness about stalking.
