May 2019 HSC Asset Q&A III – May 23rd or 31st

Department Chairs & Asset Coordinators,

The Central Services department will be offering Asset Training this month. The training will cover three subjects: Property Custody Receipt (PCR) form changes, Asset Coordinator designation form changes, and reviewing requisitions.

The process for PCR and Asset Coordinator submission will move to an on-line system. Our Digital Content Specialists with the Office of Brand Communication are creating new forms and we will be changing our process to incorporate the on-line forms. This new process will be more user friendly. We are also working with IT to give Coordinators the ability to identify assets as being off-campus, which will simplify the “offsite” process as well. This is an opportunity to show what is being created and receive any feedback you have about these changes.

At the end of our last training session, we received feedback that some coordinators would like to review the requisition process in May prior to the end-of-year push. Lana Sacks and Pam Peden will be providing this training based on what they see on a daily basis. We will review requisitions that have been submitted and explain what we look for and why. Our team would also like for you to bring any questions you have for us.

These changes are being implemented to improve and streamline our processes. We look forward to showing you the direction we are going and receiving suggestions from you.
