Manager Minute: You Got This!

Out of sight does not mean out of mind. Your employees need you now more than ever to keep them engaged and feeling connected. Many work teams started dispersing to their homes last week–some are finding their routines in their new work environment and others are just getting started.

Here’s the most important thing you can initiate over the next few weeks: Schedule a routine time every day to check in with your team. It’s very important that you stay in closer contact than you normally would if working onsite. Employees need reassurance that they are still valued and an important part of HSC. Also, check in frequently with members of your team who live alone or have higher health risks. The most important question you can ask is “how are you?”

The HSC Helpdesk is hosting training sessions today, March 25, on how to use Microsoft Teams, an online video conference solution. Microsoft Teams is an easy-to-use tool that can help you make that daily connection with your teams.
