Emergency notifications are an important part of HSC’s safety protocols. HSC has invested considerable resources in its Red Alert Emergency Notification process so our community has the benefit of a robust and updated system.
However, to benefit from Red Alerts, you must “opt in” to receive them.
- Start here: https://www.unthsc.edu/myhsc.
- Select employee portal.
- Log in.
- Select ‘update your information’ under Campus Alerts tab.
The system is designed to primarily reach our community via cell phone. To ensure you receive emergency notifications, please provide a cell phone number. Select it as your preferred method of contact and check the box to receive text messages.
By choosing this option, our Red Alert system will be able to reach you in a quick and timely manner about campus emergency situations.
