Lewis Library?s middle floor will be available on a 24×7 basis starting on the evening of Wednesday, October 14. At the same time, Lewis Library will begin requiring the use of a UNTHSC ID badge to move between the floors on both the center staircase and the elevators. The badge requirement will start at 6PM and be lifted at 6AM on weekdays. You will need a badge to move between floors during all hours on weekends. You will also find the library?s doors leading into and out of the lobby closed during the overnight hours. Your UNTHSC ID badge will allow you through those doors.
These changes are being made to improve security in the building and to help ensure that study rooms and carrels are kept available for use by UNTHSC students, staff, and faculty.
