Join NRMN for its first Unconscious Bias Course Webinar on June 18

The National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN)—within HSC’s Center for Diversity and International Programs—invites HSC’s students, faculty, and staff to the first webinar in its Unconscious Bias Course Webinar series entitled “Navigating Micro-aggressions in Academic Medicine.”

Negative micro-messages, or micro-aggressions, are pervasive throughout American life. In academic medicine, it is not unusual for physicians, students, and faculty to be on the receiving end of negative micro-messaging, whether from a patient, a student, or a colleague. During this discussion, our panelists will share real-life examples of micro-aggressions, how they responded, and how they wish they had responded.
