We are pleased to announce that UNTHSC is introducing the Student Leadership Academy, a new leadership program based on Our Values open to all UNTHSC Students. This leadership program is designed to take a holistic approach in providing a solid foundation in leadership philosophies, skills, and growth through collaboration and learning.
Program Information:
-Application opens May 1st 2015 and closes at 5pm on August 1st 2015.
-Application information and form for the Student Leadership Academy is located on OrgSync at : https://orgsync.com/12048/forms/142573
-You must be enrolled for both fall 2015 and spring 2016 semesters and 75% of your classes must be on-campus
-Participants will be selected from all academic programs
-Program length: one academic year from September to May
Benefits of the Student Leadership Academy:
-Students can expect special speakers, one- on- one faculty/staff mentors, and interactive workshops.
-Learn, grow, and develop alongside fellow colleagues in areas of leadership foundation and philosophies, personal and professional development, and engage in interactive activities and workshops.
-Upon program completion each participant will receive a program certificate.
-Topics covered will include: Strengths-Based Leadership, Cultural Diversity, Professional Communication, Leadership Essentials, and a Culminating Service Project.
