Institute for Health Disparities Lecture Series presents Dr. Carolyn Greene

Dr. Greene currently serves as the associate director of the Translational Research Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In that role, she leads strategic and programmatic planning for the NIH-funded clinical and translational research center. The center aims to reduce health disparities among rural and underserved populations.
In a previous role, Dr. Greene served as the national manager of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ award-winning program of web-based self-help courses. She developed and implemented an innovative national digital mentalhealth program with the aim of expanding access to evidence-based care for veterans.
A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Greene has expertise in delivering culturally congruent mental health care to underserved communities. Specializing in assessment and treatment of PTSD, she contributed to both VA’s Clinical Practice Guidelines and the seminal book The Handbook for PTSD.
