HSC Vaccine Protocol

April 21, 2021

Dear HSC Students, Faculty and Staff,

As we are working toward the return of more normalcy after our yearlong battle against the pandemic, we understand there may be questions around HSC’s vaccine protocol so wanted to provide you the following information:

  • Our vaccine protocol is based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, Governor Abbot’s recent Executive Order and the FDA’s granting of emergency use status for vaccines that have not yet received FDA approval.
  • While not required, we encourage all HSC students, faculty and staff be vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Should you choose to be vaccinated, you can register here for a vaccine in Tarrant County.
  • We will also have another on-campus vaccine clinic for HSC students, staff and faculty this Friday, April 23, from 1:30-3:30pm on the 3rd floor of the Health Pavilion (855 Montgomery Street.) You can schedule an appointment here or by calling HSC Health Select Services at 817-735-2273.
  • Students also have the option of documenting your COVID-19 vaccine in your vaccine records via Medicat as you would other vaccinations such as flu shots, measles, etc.
  • If you have questions about requirements for your clinical rotation sites, please contact your respective academic clinical education office:

Pharmacy –  Lisa.Killam-Worrall@unthsc.edu
